Tropic of Cancer Music & Arts Festival is an annual gathering of musicians in the arts community of Todos Santos where the desert meets the Pacific Ocean in the Baja of Mexico.
When they are not on tour, The Cordovas, an Americana, Country-Rock band spend half the year in Nashville , TN and the other half living in Todos Santos. They have hosted this festival for the past 8 years inviting fellow musicians from all over the world to perform and share their art with this community.
Tropic of Cancer is an exclusive opportunity to join musicians and artists in their annual pilgrimage to this inspiring locale to create art, write songs, and perform new music. The audience and the artist blend as one in intimate venues, delivering an experience that inspires.
The Tropic of Cancer refers to the Earth’s northernmost circle of latitude where the sun can be seen directly overhead during the June solstice at approximately 23.5 degrees north of the equator and cutting across the Baja just south of Todos Santos. Historically, during the summer solstice the sun would appear in the constellation Cancer, giving the name the Tropic of Cancer.
